Description

The trustees of the AFUW Inc. Education Trust invite applications for the biennial Georgina Sweet Fellowship to support a woman postgraduate to undertake at an Australian university advanced post-first degree study or research in any field.

Application papers are available from the Fellowships Convener. An application must be submitted on the applicant's behalf by the IFUW National Federation or Association to which she belongs. In the case of an independent member, her application must be submitted through the Secretary-General IFUW, 37 Quai Wilson, CH1201 Geneva, Switzerland.

Duration: 1.0 year
Annual value: $A 6,000.00
Total value: $A 6,000.00
Extra Details: The award is valued at $6,000, paid in 2 equal instalments, subject to satisfactory progress. The award may be applied toward the cost of the studies, but does not include travel expenses. By agreement with the trustees, the successful candidate may elect a support period between 4 and 12 months.

General information

The fellowship is open to women postgraduates enrolled in or accepted by an Australian university for advanced post-first degree study or research in any field. Applicants must be a financial member of a National Federation or Association of the International Federation of University Women or an independent member of IFUW.
